For a break from that exhausting shopping, pop into the Otford Village Memorial Hall and have a look at an update display on work on road safety and village gateways. Members of the community working on this will be around to share ideas and information on progress, with illustrations, children’s road safety posters, and a model. Pick up a road safety balloon for the littl’uns!

Hopgarden Press will be selling copies of their two ‘Past in Pictures’ books, one on Sevenoaks and the other (just published) on Sevenoaks Villages. The latter has over one hundred evocative photographs of the villages surrounding Sevenoaks…. enjoy a ride on an Otford hay cart in the 1950s…. view the apple blossom and hop fields of Seal and Kemsing…. at Weald witness how one man tried to stand against the insidious might of the ‘road-lobby’…. and visit a haven for the young heros of the Battle of Britain.
The books are priced at just £8.99p each, and both Phil and Ed will be on hand to sign them for you!
